"DNA Launches Editor’s Blog" from "WATBlog.com - Web, Advertising and Technology Blog in India" DNA Launches Editor’s BlogBlogging seems to be becoming a norm be it any website or platform. Right from corporates to film stars to even newspapers are launching blog sections. Going by this trend DNA has introduced a 'DNA editors' blog' where you can read, comment and contribute to it. As the name suggests all the editor’s/ senior journalists of DNA like R. Jagannathan, Malavika Sanghvi, Ayaz Memon, Sathya Saran and Siddharth Bhatia would be contributing to this blog. Mint the newspaper has been sort of a leader when it comes to using new media tools as it had launched blogs as a feature sometime back and recently launched podcasts which was quickly aped by the likes of business standard. Sheena Saji, Marketing Head, DNA, seems pretty upbeat on blogging when she says "There has been a massive spurt in the number of netizens in the country and with 18 million Indians blogging actively, blogs provide a completely uninhibited platform for the people to express their views. DNA is an interactive new age publication and we believe that this initiative will help our readers to not only interact with the editors but also with people from varied backgrounds and get a fair opinion on the issues concerning them.” On the whole it remains to be seen how these blogging sections do. If you ask me I expect these sections to become more popular than the news. We live in an era where opinions matter and can be easily broadcasted and its opinions that the public wants to know along with facts. Most Commented PostsAlso Check Out: More Recent Articles |
