Several parts of North India continued to remain crippled with the extreme cold as the weather dipped down to 2.5 degrees Celcius on Sunday. The temperature in many parts of Delhi at 7 am on Monday morning was recorded to be 4 degrees Celsius. A dense layer of fog also developed over Delhi on Mondy morning. Meanwhile, Srinagar experienced its coldest day on Sunday, causing the Dal Lake to freeze. Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh continue to shiver in the cold too. According to the IMD, Delhi is expected to receive light rain around January 1.
